I have heard it said that your food can be your best medicine or a poison that leads to a slow death. Choices matter. God is our CREATOR. That is not just a religious concept. He created us…spirit, soul and BODY. And He gave us an owner’s manual/instructions…the Bible. If we bought a man-made device, wouldn’t we read the manual/instructions that came with it of how to put it together, use and care, etc.? That should certainly be true concerning God’s instruction manual for LIFE….a healthy, prosperous, productive life, with purpose and meaning! One that is worth passing on to the next generation. In a physical world which He ALSO delegated to us to steward well. And we have failed miserably. BUT THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE WITH GOD!!! Repentance and renewal are also not just a religious or spiritual concept. It’s for our physical life, as well!!! For example, here are some of the things I have discovered on just the subject of health and nutrition. EVERYONE from Adam to Noah lived HUNDREDS of years…365 years, 777 years, and several well over 900 years (Genesis 5) with just the instructions in Genesis 1:29 “And God said, ‘I give you every seed-bearing plant growing throughout the earth, vegetables, and every fruit-bearing tree with its seed within itself. They will be your food.’ This was taught from father to son and mother to daughter through all those generations. Noah was 600 years old when he built the ark…a MASSIVE structure (and it still exists, by the way). Talk about a strong, healthy, vigorous and robust “older” man! With only his 3 sons to help him. They didn’t have a lumber store to get their supplies from. They did it all from the forest….and followed God’s instructions. And they took all the food for themselves and the animals into the ark, which lasted them for just over a year. Then God gave Noah permission for the first time to eat meat, telling him to make sure that the blood was completely drained out before eating it. Noah lived another 350 years, 950 total. But his son only lived 600 years. The lifespan of the following generations continued to reduce to around 200 years (Genesis 11). I am convinced that this is because of the addition of meat to their diet. And that was before the chemicals and hormones and GMO feed with chemical pesticides and fertilizers that are in meats today! Another example in scripture is in Daniel 1, with Daniel and his 3 friends who persuaded their overseer to test them by allowing them to eat only vegetables and drink water for 10 days while the others ate choice meats and wine from the king’s table. At the end of the 10 days there was a noticeable difference in their appearance. So, they were allowed to continue with only vegetables and water during the 3 year training period before entering the king’s service. By the time the king was ready to choose from those in training to enter his service, he found Daniel and friends to be 10 TIMES BETTER in all areas of wisdom and understanding THAN EVEN the king’s magicians in ALL the land. What goes on in my body affects my mind, psyche, etc. too!!! Our whole being! It’s all connected in God’s AMAZING design!❤️

Seeds begin to germinate and sprout as the earth warms in springtime. However, some seeds, like the Giant Sequoia, Lodgepole Pine, Eucalyptus, and others, require the intense heat of a fire for their seeds to pop open where water can enter and allow them to geminate and grow into the plant that was locked in that seed so long ago.

This is true in our spiritual lives as well. God puts various “seeds” of skills and talents and giftings in each of us at birth. Some are developed right away. Some require time and various “conditions” like formal training or a series of experiences to more fully develop. Then there are those that “pop open” and become more evident in the fire of rebirth and salvation. And even more so as we are increasingly filled with the Holy Spirit and yield more and more to His leading. However, I believe that there are some that require even more intense heat. Scripture says…

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (James 1:2-4)

We see trials and persecution of many kinds around the world today…and growing exponentially as these last days before Christ’s return are upon us. When the hard times come, open your heart and spirit to the continual “washing of the Word”. God’s Eternal Word of Truth. Let that Living Water flow into your spirit and soul allowing you to blossom and grow into all that God created you to be…..for such a time as this.

His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. (2 Peter 1:3)

Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. (Ephesians 3:20-21)

Spiritual battles are REAL! Self-discipline, distraction, procrastination, and fear (of failure, lack of approval or control and more) are big ones for me. And very strong this morning. I used to use my work schedule or being tired (but never age or growing older! 😂) as my “excuse.” But…I can’t use that now. I have no excuse. None of us do. So…

2 Peter 1:3 (NIV)
His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.

2 Corinthians 10:5 (NIV)
We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.

Then….

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. James‬ ‭1‬:‭22‬ ‭NIV‬‬

These are commands. And, take a deep breath….this is war!!! But do not shrink back from this most important task.

Now my beloved ones, I have saved these most important truths for last: Be supernaturally infused with strength through your life-union with the Lord Jesus. Stand victorious with the force of his explosive power flowing in and through you. Put on God’s complete set of armor provided for us, so that you will be protected as you fight against the evil strategies of the accuser! Your hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms. For they are a powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage. Because of this, you must wear all the armor that God provides so you’re protected as you confront the slanderer, for you are destined for all things and will rise victorious. Put on truth as a belt to strengthen you to stand in triumph. Put on holiness as the protective armor that covers your heart. Stand on your feet alert, then you’ll always be ready to share the blessings of peace. In every battle, take faith as your wrap-around shield, for it is able to extinguish the blazing arrows coming at you from the evil one! Embrace the power of salvation’s full deliverance, like a helmet to protect your thoughts from lies. And take the mighty razor-sharp Spirit-sword of the spoken word of God. Pray passionately in the Spirit, as you constantly intercede with every form of prayer at all times. Pray the blessings of God upon all his believers. Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭10‬-‭18‬ ‭TPT‬‬

These strongholds are spirits. As we recognize them, we must take authority over them. (Matt. 10:1, Mark 3:14-15, Mark 6:7, Luke 9:1, Luke 10:17, Mark 16:15-18, Matt. 28:18-20) We have the teaching of Christ. We can no longer blame it on our past or other people or situations …or even the devil!

I need to tattoo this at the front of my brain and attach it to an electrified fence for when I step over the line. But this is what the Holy Spirit does for us! (John 16:13) Reminding us and quickening our spirits. Let’s tune our spiritual ears and step into our VICTORY! BE ACCOUNTABILITY! ❤️❤️❤️

1 Thessalonians 5:11 (NIV)
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Continue praying strength and courage and perseverance and so much more for one another daily (Col. 1:9-14; Eph. 1:15-23; Eph. 3:14-21; Phil. 1:3-6) as we each work out (Phil. 2:12-15) our salvation in our souls (mind, will, emotions) that we received immediately in our spirits when we accepted Christ. Growing in the fruit of the spirit (Gal. 5:22-23) and throwing off (crucify! 😖) the flesh, including what we or others put on us and spoke over us…past, present and future! Breaking off those generational curses. DO NOT FALL INTO SELF-CONDEMNATION! That is from the devil. And it is a spirit also. Speak to it. Take authority over it. In Jesus’ name.

I have been PREACHING this to myself. And apparently, we all needed it too. ❤️❤️❤️

(As my abundant tears flowed and my words poured out in excruciating agony, God poured into me His words of comfort and faithfulness and truth. And the paralyzing depression lifted.)

Father, You know the hope I have had. And now the deep sadness and longing I feel. With more delay and uncertainty. It seems so long. But it’s just a moment in time to You. I have said, “I don’t have any answers. But I know Who does. And I trust Him completely.” But things didn’t turn out like I thought they would. Help me to find that sweet place again of perfect peace. Of steadfast trusting. Reminding myself, again and again, that You always finish what You start. And You don’t quit until it’s good. That You are faithful, even when I am not. Thank You for reminding me that this is a spiritual battle. And that the job you have given me is much more important than making things happen my way. Or wanting to have all the answers. Because Your ways and thoughts and purposes are far above mine. My job is to trust You and Your Word. And to speak Your Word over this situation. And all of us involved. Using the authority that You have given me over these spirits of darkness and generational curses. Preparing the way for You to work in this situation. Thank You, Father, for guiding me to a place where I once again rest in You.

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. I woke up this morning with this coming from deep within my heart….just flowing….
in my shower this morning I just couldn’t stop praising my Lord. I am so grateful to our
precious Lord ….that we do not have to have any formalities to praise and worship Abba Father.
He loves hearing our hearts cries.
Sometimes all I can do is praise Abba Daddy for all His amazing Grace in my life.
When life is suffocating me with trials and tribulations…..sometimes I find myself so wrapped up
in the pain I forget to look up….its like drowning in a sea of sorrow.
But when I take the time to breathe…and I look up and begin to sing praises to my Abba Daddy…..the storm clouds disappear and I am able to tackle one mountain at a time.
What an amazing God we serve!
I hope this blesses you today dear ones 😀

12:14pm Sherrill McDonald: Dearest Heavenly Father ….I come to You, my Lord, in intercession for my dear sister in Kenya!!! Father, Your word tells us that by the wounds on Christ Jesus back we are healed! You tell us, Father, that where 2 or more are together in agreement you are also there…You tell us that NO weapon formed against us shall prosper…You tell us that You, oh Lord, will never leave us nor forsake us….Your word says to ask anything in Your son Jesus’ name and You will grant it to us! Lord, You tell us that all we need is the faith the size of a mustard seed and we can speak to a mountain and it will be moved into the sea!!! So, Father, by the authority and dominion given to me as a child of Christ Jesus ….and by the power of the Blood of Christ—I speak to this stomach pain, sickness and parasites—-I command them to be gone in Jesus Mighty and Powerful name! Be healed, my sister, in Jesus name! I take authority over all sickness and disease in my sister in Jesus name!!! I thank You, my Father, for hearing my prayer today! I give You, my Lord and Savior, all honor, glory and praise!!! Father, I know my dear sister is healed! And what the devil meant for evil…You, oh Lord, are turning it around for Your Glory!!!! Let her testimony be shared around the world for Your honor my Lord!!! Father, bless her and her family with all they need to carry the word of Christ to their community!!! Father, bless them physically, mentally, emotionally, financially and most of all spiritually! Your word tells us that all our needs are met by Your riches in heaven…so I speak to the spirit of lack and poverty and command it to let go of this family in Jesus name! I cast out all sickness, diseases, poverty, lack, off of this family and ministry! In Jesus name! They are blessed by the Blood of Christ Jesus!!! Father give them supernatural strength, supernatural courage, supernatural faith to carry out all the things You, Father, have commanded them to do in Jesus name! Father, I thank You that Your Holy Favor will pour out from heaven upon this ministry in every area of their lives! People will follow them into holy righteousness through Your Word that is spoken everywhere they go….there will be salvations, healing and deliverance everywhere they go. They will share the love of Christ, they will share the mercy and grace of You, oh God, everywhere they go. Father, thank you for my sister and brother! Father, bless my sister with a healthy pregnancy and a very healthy baby!!! Father I speak to this morning sickness in Jesus name…this vomiting has to stop in Jesus name! She will have a beautiful child and no weapon formed against this baby shall prosper ….this child we lift up to You, Lord Jesus! Thank You, God, for being with us today! Thank You for hearing our prayers! And thank You, Father, for answering our prayers of intercession for one another! I praise You today and always Lord. In the Mighty and Powerful Name of Jesus I Pray Amen…Father, I plead the Blood of Jesus over my sister and brother, their family and ministry…they are under the protection of Christ Jesus everywhere they go! In Jesus name I pray Amen!!!
