Word Study: faith

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? ~ 2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV

Examine and test and evaluate your own selves to see whether you are holding to your faith and showing the proper fruits of it. Test and prove yourselves [not Christ]. Do you not yourselves realize and know [thoroughly by an ever-increasing experience] that Jesus Christ is in you–unless you are [counterfeits] disapproved on trial and rejected? ~ 2 Corinthians 13:5 AMP

A PRICELESS GIFT…..

(Jesus speaking) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. ~ John 3:16-17 KJV

(Jesus speaking) “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” ~ John 3:16-17 NIV (1984)

(Jesus speaking) For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him. ~ John 3:16-17 AMP

Prayer of Salvation:
Dearest Heavenly Father, I know that I am a sinner and need Your forgiveness. I believe that only You can forgive my sins. I ask You, Lord, to come into my heart, forgive my sins, and be the ruler of my life. Thank You for saving me from my sins. I now know that only You are my source of eternal life and entrance to heaven. I enter in this covenant with You. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
