Daily Quote—Feb 5, 2015

 “Suppose you could gain everything
 in the whole world,
 and lost your soul.
 Was it worth it?”

“You’re born.
 You suffer.
 You die.
 Fortunately,
 there’s a loophole.”

“God proved His love on the Cross.
 When Christ hung, and bled, and died,
 it was God saying to the world,
I love you.’ “

He who created us without
our help will not save us
 without our consent.”
Author: Augustine

“In these two things the greatness of man consists,
 to have God so dwelling in us as to impart his
 character to us, and to have him so dwelling
 in us that we recognize his presence,
 and know that we are his, and he is ours.
 The one is salvation:
 the other the assurance of it.”

Daily Prayer—Feb 4, 2015

 The Lord is my Shepherd;
I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down
in green pastures;
He leadeth me beside
the still waters.
He restoreth my soul;
He leadeth me in the
paths of righteousness
for His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk
through the valley of the
shadow of death, I
will fear no evil;
for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff
they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table
before me in the
presence of mine
enemies; thou
anointest my head with
oil; my cup runneth
over.
Surely goodness and
mercy shall follow
me all the days of
my life; and I will
dwell in the house
of the Lord forever.
I will bless the Lord at
all times;
His praise shall continually
be in my mouth.
I will glory in the Lord;
I sought the Lord, and
He heard me;
He delivered me from
all my fears.
Thank You, Lord
for redeeming my soul.
Truly my soul finds
rest in God;
my Salvation comes
from him.
Truly You, Lord are my
rock and my salvation;
You are my fortress,
I will never be shaken.
My soul finds rest in
You, alone God.
My hope comes from
You my Lord and Savior
My salvation and
honor depend
on God; You God
are my mighty
rock, and my
refuge…in whom
I will trust to keep
my heart pure, my
life safe and my
thoughts holy.
All power belongs
to You, my God
to bless or to punish.
You, holy Lord
reward generously,
and bless abundantly.
Thank You, Father
for hearing my heart
today.
May my life be a blessing
to You, Lord Jesus.

In the Mighty and Powerful Name of Jesus
Christ I Pray—-Amen & Amen

Daily Quote—Feb 4, 2015

 Temptation usually comes in through a door that has deliberately been left open.

Written By: Arnold Glasow

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 “Temptations which accompany the working day
 will be conquered on the basis of the morning
 breakthrough to God.
 Decisions, demanded by work, become easier
 and simpler where they are made not in the
 fear of men, but only in the sight of God.
 He wants to give us today the power
 which we need for our work.”
    Author: Dietrich Bonhoeffer
“An idol of the mind is as offensive
 to God as an idol of the hand.”
    Author: A.W. Tozer
“As long as you want anything very much,
 especially more than you want God,
 it is an idol.”
“Every one of us is,
 even from his mother’s womb,
 a master craftsman of idols.”
    Author: John Calvin
“Man’s mind is like a store of idolatry and superstition;
 so much so that if a man believes his own mind
 it is certain that he will forsake God and forge
 some idol in his own brain.”
    Author: John Calvin
“The reason why many fail in battle is
 because they wait until the hour of battle.
 The reason why others succeed is because
 they have gained their victory on their
 knees long before the battle came.
 Anticipate your battles;
 fight them on your knees before
 temptation comes,
 and you will always have victory.”
“How pitiful that his mind was overruled
 by his emotion; his reasoning,
 overcome by his affection.
 Why is it that men ‘did not believe the truth?’
 Because they ‘had pleasure in unrighteousness’
 (2 Thess. 2:12).
 It is not that the truth is unreasonable
 but that it is not loved.
 Hence when one truly turns to the Lord he
 ‘believes with his heart (not mind)
 and so is justified’
 (Rom. 10:10).”
Daily Scripture—Feb 4, 2015
 1 Corinthians 10:12-14 NIV
“So, if you think you are
standing firm, be careful
that you don’t fall!
No temptation has
overtaken you except
what is common to
mankind, And GOD
is FAITHFUL; He will
not let you be tempted
beyond what you can
bear. But when you are
tempted, He will also
provide a way out so
that you can endure it.
Therefore, my dear friends,
flee from idolatry.”
1 Corinthians 10:12-14 KJV
“Wherefore let him that
thinketh he standeth take
heed lest he fall.
There hath no temptation
taken you but such as is
common to man:
But GOD is FAITHFUL,
who will not suffer you to be
tempted above that ye are
able; but will with the
temptation also make
a way to escape, that
ye may be able to bear it.
Wherefore, my dearly
beloved, flee from
idolatry.”
Daily Prayer—–Feb 3, 2015
 Dearest Heavenly Father;
Thank You for revealing to me
the urgency to turn from anything
wicked in my life.
Lord, forgive me, for allowing
darkness in my heart.
Lord, forgive me, for allowing
the enemy to plant seeds of
doubt and fear in my life.
Lord, forgive me, for allowing
the enemy to lead me into
laziness towards my walk
with You, Jesus.
Father, forgive me for being
lazy in my pursuit of Your
righteousness.
Lord, forgive me for
the discontentment that
I have allowed to grow
in my heart.
Father, forgive me for being
lazy in my studies of Your
Holy Anointed Words.
Lord, forgive me for yielding
to the enemies whispers of
hopelessness and
helplessness.
Lord, forgive me for not putting
You first in my life.
Lord, forgive me for being an
idol worshiper……
I know now that I can make
an idol out of anything or
anyone….
self,
sports,
family,
career,
hobbies,
pleasures,
money,
even the act of spiritual
ceremonies and traditions….
there is no end to this list of possible
idols that can develop in my life
or anyone else’s…..
Lord, I pray that You purge me
of anything that I have allowed
to become an idol in my life…
Teach me to crucify my flesh
daily and pick up my cross
and follow my Lord Jesus in
my daily pursuit of
righteousness.
Father, I praise Your Holy
name.
Lord, I worship You with
my whole being
body,
soul,
and
spirit.
Lord, I will worship You
through the songs of praise.
Father, thank You for loving
me so much that You
take the time to shake me
to the core and discipline
me.
Your Word tells me that
You discipline those You
love…..
Thank You for loving me
in all my flaws,
in all my weaknesses,
in all my rebellion,
in all my laziness.
Thank You Jesus
for believing in me.
Lord, I love You more than
life itself.
Thank You, Father for hearing my
deepest heart’s desire today.
In the Mighty & Powerful Name of Jesus Christ
I Pray….Amen & Amen
 “No erudition,
 no purity of diction,
 no width of mental outlook,
 no flowers of eloquence,
 no grace of person can atone for lack of fire.
 Prayer ascends by fire.
 Flame gives prayer access as well as wings,
 There is no incense without fire;
 no prayer without flame.”
